Fujin Koron 婦人公論 specifies its readers' bracket on highly educated women, and dispatched covered articles and debate posts columns for readers to tackle social issues which suited the interest of readers who have finished their high school education.

As Fujin Koron started with the concept of editors to act as the spokesperson for the voices of women that demands emancipation and independence of women, Fujin Koron constantly emphasizes the importance of female individuals to obtain equal opportunities as men. They specifically discusses the importance of female suffrage, permission on high school education, and acquiring skillsets that establishes them to a "working women職業婦人". 

They on the other hand, problematizes the culture of women to be ignored of their rights in households, rebutting against the state-led ideology of "good wife wise mother". They deliberately reveals the scandals of female public figures such as Akiko Hatano who had "lovers' double suicide 情死", not as a gossip column, but rather to draw attention on the fundamental issue of marriage and responsibilities imposed upon women, that triggered these incidents.
